Tanya Fisher, LSCSW
Tanya has had the privilege of working as a psychotherapist and LSCSW over the past 20 years. She received her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 1995 in Psychology/Human Development & Family Studies and her master’s degree from Washburn University in 2002 in Clinical Social Work.
Tanya specializes in working with trauma and abuse, PTSD (including military and 1st responders). She also works with depression, bipolar (and other mood disorders), anxiety disorders, OCD, personality disorders, and adjustment disorders – typically with children (12 and up) and adults. She is trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) and also utilizes other treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, family systems, and trauma-informed care.
Tanya feels the trust established between the client and therapist is the most important aspect of their relationship. She believes in the resiliency of the mind, body, soul, and is thankful to have the opportunity to walk beside individuals while they find their way to peace and happiness.
