Kelsey Harwood, LSCSW
Kelsey is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) and received her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Kansas. She has experienced working in both inpatient behavioral health units, as well as in community mental health. She has training in CBT, ACT, Crisis Intervention, Grief and Loss, and Trauma work. Kelsey works with adults of all ages and walks of life.
In her private practice, Kelsey believes that you are the expert in your own life, and her job is to help navigate the roadblocks that keep you from being your authentic self. Kelsey works with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship distress, grief and loss, stress management, life transitions, and self-esteem. Kelsey also enjoys working with older adults going through the aging process, as well as adult children who may be struggling with changes in their aging parents.
Kelsey believes that therapy has to be about finding someone with whom you can share your genuine thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. Therefore, she finds building that therapeutic relationship to be one of the most important steps. Kelsey’s goal is to create a safe, empathetic, and affirming space so you know there is someone in your corner.
