Jocelyn Filson, LPC
Jocelyn Filson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Kansas. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Pittsburg State University and her master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). She is currently working to become a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
Jocelyn enjoys working with adolescents aged 15-18 and adults of all ages. Her favorite population to work with are people struggling with trauma, depression, and/or anxiety. Jocelyn utilizes several modalities in treating clients such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and a trauma-informed perspective.
Jocelyn currently lives in Shawnee with her husband and two fluffy cats, Bruce and Zazu. In her free time, she enjoys hammocking, watching Netflix, and spending time with her family. Photo coming soon! 🙂
