Pamela Twohill, DSW, LSCSW

Pamela Twohill is a Doctor of Social Work and licensed clinical social worker (LSCSW) who has been in patient and client-facing roles for over twenty years. Dr. Twohill earned her master’s degree in social work from Georgia State University in 2008 and she went on to work in the home setting with children and families before providing individual and family therapy in Woodstock, Georgia.

Dr. Twohill, her husband and three children relocated back home to Kansas City where she works at Advent Health Shawnee Mission with experience in the emergency room, medical units and in the Birth Center for over seven years. Dr. Twohill will have completed her doctoral degree (DSW) in social work from the University of Kansas as of August 2026.

Dr. Twohill currently serves as an adjunct instructor in the School of Social Welfare at KU as well as continuing to support patients and families at Advent Health. Maternal mental health is a passion for Dr. Twohill, and she is also incredibly fond of working in family systems, with parents, teens and young adults as well as with individuals across the lifespan. Dr. Twohill warmly utilizes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Pam has a strong belief in client-led therapy and believes deeply in the importance of connection, trust and kindness.
