Mary Friesen, LSCSW

Mary Friesen is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) who received her graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. Mary is well versed in trauma and anxiety disorders and also has extensive experience treating depressive, mood, and personality disorders. Mary has worked in various community mental health fields and has experience with a wide range of populations. She received her clinical training at a local domestic violence shelter and has recently been working with population health care to improve the medical and mental health community’s collaboration.

Mary believes therapy is custom to every person, as no two stories are the same. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), EMDR, brief solutions-focused therapy, and is a trauma-informed care trainer. Mary is also married with two children, and in her spare time, she enjoys playing with her kids, traveling, and working out. In the fall, you’ll find Mary watching Football (GO Cats and Chiefs!).
