Maranda Kano, LSCSW, LCSW

Maranda Kano joined Responsive Centers in 2025, licensed as a clinical social worker in both Kansas (LSCSW) and Missouri (LCSW). Maranda is an experienced outpatient therapist for children, adolescents, and families, having previously supported at-risk children, adoptive couples, and birth parents throughout her career. She has also worked in an inpatient setting, with family services, in transitional care, and at a therapeutic preschool.

She earned both her Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work from Brigham Young University. Specializing in play therapy, filial (child-parent relationship) therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and a solution-focused approach, Maranda enjoys helping clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral problems, and child-parent relationships. She truly believes every client is unique and loves working with them in an integrative and personalized way to discover their strengths that will help them overcome challenges and meet their goals. Outside of the therapy office, Maranda loves to run and spends most of her time chasing her three young daughters.
