John Marra, LCPC

John Marra is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Kansas who earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mid-America Nazarene University, and his master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Texas. John has a long history of working with individuals, couples, and families in a group counseling practice, as well as a local church setting. In addition, he was an adjunct instructor for many years at Mid-America Nazarene University where he taught Effective Interpersonal Communication and Pastoral Care and Counseling.

John works with a variety of issues that include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, interpersonal conflict, marital issues, and premarital counseling. He believes in an integrative, individualized approach that utilizes techniques from modalities that are best suited to a client’s particular needs. These modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, Adlerian approaches, internal family systems, person-centered, narrative therapy, and faith-based counseling.
