Elizabeth Heim, PMHNP

Elizabeth is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who provides diagnostic evaluation and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults. Originally from Leavenworth, Kansas, Elizabeth developed an interest in behavioral health at a young age and has intentionally focused her education and clinical experience on working with children and adolescents throughout her career.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth and later completed her graduate studies at Wilkes University to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Before becoming a nurse, Elizabeth worked in an outpatient behavioral health setting serving children, and she later gained additional experience as an RN in both acute and residential inpatient pediatric psychiatric facilities. These experiences helped shape her passion for child and adolescent mental health care and deepened her interest in psychiatric medications and individualized treatment approaches.

Elizabeth has been practicing as a PMHNP-BC for the past two years, primarily treating children and adolescents with a variety of mental health concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and mood disorders. She also works with adults up to age 60 and provides thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals. Elizabeth values building collaborative relationships with patients and families and strives to create a supportive environment where individuals and families feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment.
