The past few weeks of devastating news and our nation’s history of racial violence is distressing, and it only reaffirms our commitment to the work that we do. Like many of you, we are outraged and saddened by the tragedies of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others. We think it is important to address these issues of racial injustice in our society and community.

We believe it’s critical that we make a statement about our values – our commitment to helping others, the importance that we continue to reinforce our relationships with each other, the value of inclusion, and the need for change. Black Lives Matter, and in fact, “matter” is the minimum. Black lives are cherished, significant, and integral to our world and society.
