Aurora Molitoris, LCPC, LPC, C-PD

Reaching out for counseling is the first step in a journey of exploration and understanding. It is a brave step to acknowledge that help might be needed. Aurora Molitoris believes that this is journey taken together and that she is a guide to a journey already underway. She also believes strongly that counseling is preventative and can be a part of our lives as part of growth. With that, she believes that mental health is public health and that mental health is a part of holistic wellness.

Aurora received her master’s in public health from the University of Kansas Medical Center, and her master’s in counseling psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is a licensed counselor in both Kansas and Missouri.

Aurora looks through a trauma and attachment lens, and works to process, trauma, and betrayal trauma from partners who have sexual compulsions, along with working with those with narcissism and children or partners of adults with personality disorders. She also sees adults working through life transitions.

Aurora believes that our subconscious mind is incredibly powerful and shifting what has been “stuck” there, can lead to vast improvement in conscious functioning. She is trained as a certified personality disorder specialist, and has training in Gottman 1 and II, Rapid Resolution Therapy, EMDR, and Be Body Positive.
