Allie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Masters Addiction Counselor (LMAC) in the state of Kansas. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Kansas before earning her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Avila University. Allie is extremely passionate about helping her clients process and work through challenging barriers to help them lead more fulfilled and wholesome lives.

Before joining Responsive Centers, Allie was the regional director for an agency that specializes in treating substance use disorders. During this time, she also worked as a counselor for Wyandotte County’s Drug Court and Behavioral Health Court programs. Allie has experience working with individuals in the jail and in the legal system. Allie completed her practicum and internship work at Truman Behavioral Health in their inpatient psychiatric hospital. While Allie has experience in crisis intervention and treating those with severe mental health concerns, she believes that seeking therapeutic services sooner rather than later can aid in a person’s overall well-being and quality of life.

Allie has training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), as well as other treatment modalities; however her therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual client’s needs. Allie has experience treating individuals who are struggling with substance use disorders and other addictions, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and other mental health concerns. She has a passion for helping individuals thrive in their relationships and within their family, and she has worked with both adults and adolescents. 

In her free time, Allie enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She grew up in the Kansas City area, and she currently resides there with her husband AJ and dog Milo. Allie enjoys staying physically active, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
