Susan is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker. She earned both her Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Susan has had extensive training and experience with crisis intervention, adjusting to life changes and challenges, and stress management. Working over twenty years as a social worker in a public high school has given her insight into adolescents and family relationships.
In addition to individual and family work, Susan has developed and facilitated multiple groups dealing with anxiety, self-image, loss and grief, depression, and peer issues. Susan has served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), and a volunteer with an area hospice. Susan utilizes both her professional and life experience in her practice. She particularly enjoys assisting people with life transitions, both adolescent and adult. She is available for appointments in the evening and on Saturdays.
